The Systems Behind Consistency
A step-by-step look into the daily systems that support my creativity, routines, and consistency.
Hello you 🤍
I hope you’re very well.
I kind of miss you.
I’ve been on here daily, but a little less this past week, so it feels so good to be back.
Why systems matter
Today, I wanted to do a follow-up article to the one I published the other day named: ‘‘How I Consistently Create Content (Without Burning Out) - The simple habit and system that helped me show up every single day.’’
There, I was talking about behavior — or more correctly: habits.
Today, I would love for us to dive into the systems, step by step, that support consistency.
Define systems
A system is the structure that supports your habits, routines, and goals.
It’s the step-by-step process that helps you show up consistently — even on the days when motivation is low.
Because honestly: motivation comes and goes.
Systems are what keep things moving anyway.
A system can be:
the order in which you do your tasks
the tools you use
the schedule you follow
the content workflow you repeat
or simply the small routines that make your life feel lighter and more organized
The goal of a system is not perfection.
The goal is to create support.
Support for your creativity.
Support for your work.
Support for your energy.
And support for the version of you that wants to grow without burning out.
A good system should feel sustainable, flexible, and realistic for your everyday life.
When your systems stop working
I mean, you have a system that works — until it doesn’t anymore, maybe because the tasks have evolved (that’s me!) — or you don’t have a system at all, and most likely you feel stressed, behind, or stagnated.
We don’t want that <3
Which is why I would love to share how I suggest designing your daily systems.
What my current system looks like
For my part, I have to:
Get back to Substack comments
Write a new article every 1–4 days
Create notes daily / and a message
Create Pinterest content as a lead magnet for my newsletter and digital products (more about that here)
Create Instagram content
And for now: TikTok and YouTube are on a break.
To me, my newsletter means everything.
Focus on compounding platforms
Time-wise, Substack and Pinterest are the two most important social media platforms, since they’re compounding platforms, meaning that the content we create today keeps living on from now on.
Whereas on Instagram: you create, you might get a spark, and then your content stops working for itself.
We don’t want that.
In my opinion, we should work for content (and income, for that sake) that works while we sleep.
My step-by-step daily systems
Anyways, let’s get into the step-by-step systems that I’ve applied to my everyday routine.
Also: please adjust this to who you are and to your tasks.
Please take what resonates and leave the rest <3
The Step-by-Step System
Step 1: Define your priorities
Before creating a system, ask yourself:
“What actually matters the most right now?”
Because not every platform, task, or project deserves the same amount of energy.
For me, my newsletter is the priority.
Which means my systems are built around supporting that first.
Everything else comes after.
Your systems should support your goals — not distract you from them.
Step 2: Brain dump everything
Write down every single task you currently have.
Big or small.
Get it all out of your head and onto paper, Notion, reminders, or wherever you organize your life.
When everything stays in your mind, it creates stress.
Clarity creates calm.
Step 3: Categorize your tasks
Now separate your tasks into categories.
For example:
Creation
Communication
Admin
Marketing
Personal life
Growth
This helps your brain stop feeling like everything is happening at once.
Because it isn’t.
Step 4: Create repeatable daily routines
This is where systems begin to support consistency.
Since I create content daily, I personally don’t assign different tasks to different weekdays.
Instead, I follow a repeatable daily flow that keeps me organized without overthinking what to do next.
For example, my days often include:
Writing
Answering comments
Creating notes & messages
Pinterest content
Instagram content
Planning future ideas
The goal is to remove as much decision fatigue as possible.
Because when you already know what needs to happen, it becomes easier to stay consistent.
Not every day will look identical — and it shouldn’t.
But having a general structure creates support, clarity, and momentum.
And honestly: consistency becomes much easier when your systems feel natural instead of forced.
Step 5: Build around your energy
Not every task requires the same version of you.
Writing may need deep focus.
Pinterest might feel lighter.
Admin tasks may fit better during low-energy hours.
Stop expecting yourself to perform at the same level all day long.
Create systems that work with your energy — not against it.
Step 6: Simplify before adding more
Sometimes we don’t need a better system.
We simply need less on our plate.
Before adding another platform, project, offer, or routine, ask yourself:
“Can I sustain this long term?”
Because consistency grows from simplicity.
Not overload.
Step 7: Allow your systems to evolve
This is important.
What worked for you six months ago may not work anymore.
And that’s okay.
As your life changes, your systems should too.
You are allowed to adjust.
You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to redesign things completely.
That doesn’t mean you failed.
It means you’re evolving.
Your systems should make your life feel more supported, not more overwhelming 🤍
Final thoughts
Thank you so much for reading along.
You’re truly appreciated, and worthy of it all.
Yes, you are. Loop it. Affirm it.
Best,
Jasmin
